AcuLaser C1100, CX11N & CX21N: How to clean the printer

EXPLANATION:

Tip:

Select which images you want to be displayed in the article:


  1. Cleaning the printer.

    The printer needs minimal cleaning only. If the printers outer case is dirty or dusty, turn off the printer and clean it with a soft, clean cloth moistened with a mild detergent.

    Caution:

    Never use alcohol or paint thinner to clean the printer cover. These chemicals can damage the components and the case. Be careful not to get water into the printer mechanism or any electrical components.

  2. Cleaning the MP Tray paper pickup roller

    Follow the steps below to clean the paper pickup roller.

    1. Open the MP Tray and the remove the loaded paper.

    2. Gently wipe the rubber parts of the pickup roller inside the MP tray with a wet, well wrung cloth.

  3. Cleaning the print head

    Follow the steps below to clean the print head.

    1. Remove the cleaner cover on the right side of the printer.  Then, open Cover A.

    2. Fully extend the blue lever on the right inside the printer.

    3. Fully extend the blue cleaner, and move it slowly in and out five times.

    4. Wipe off any loose toner on the blue cleaner.

      Note:

      Ensure that the cleaner is moved out until it stops and then pushed back in. Otherwise the printer may not be cleaned effectively. For further information see AcuLaser C1100, CX11N & CX21N: Gap, gaps or "white lines" in the print.


    5. Push back the blue lever inside the printer.

    6. Close Cover A, then the cleaner cover.
