WF-4740: Firmware Update to Improve NFC Connectivity and Power-On Sequence

A new firmware has been released for the WorkForce WF-4740.

This firmware resolves the following issues:

 

LED Power-On Light Sequence

  1. If the power button is pressed briefly, the power LED turns on for about 5 seconds but the printer does not power-on.
  2. Just after inserting the power cable, the power LED turns on for about 5 seconds but the printer does not power-on.
    Note:

    The power button needs to be held for at least 3 seconds to power-on the printer.
 

NFC Connectivity

Some users may experience connectivity issues when trying to set up Epson iPrint even though NFC has been enabled on both devices.

 
Note:

This problem only affects Android devices.
 

Improved Print Quality

Only affects some users.

If you are experiencing any of the problems listed above please make sure to update your firmware using the Epson Software Updater.
