Quality
Impressive image quality is achieved thanks to three Epson print technologies: halftoning, fully optimised lookup tables (LUT), and Micro Weave – that all contribute to reduce graininess and banding. Fully controlled heating and curing technology, combined with long-life PrecisionCore Micro TFP printheads, provide reliable colour consistency across the entire length of the print run. This avoids the need for reprints due to mismatched colours.
Reliability
User replaceable printheads help to maximise production time, as they can be easily replaced – with no special tools – within 60 minutes. The SC-R5010L also includes a bulk ink solution (2 x 1.5-litre ink pouches with a 'hot-swap' function) for reduced printer downtime, convenience, and lower ink costs. To further support business productivity the innovative ultrasonic detector reduces the risk of printhead failure, while nozzle verification technology (NVT) automatically compensates should any nozzle become blocked.
Usability
The SC-R5010L includes a user-friendly 4.3-inch touch screen for simple, intuitive printer operation and status checks. To further improve user control, the introduction of Epson Production Monitor (one of the services offered on the Epson Cloud Solution PORT) enables easy monitoring of equipment across several sites, or several printers on one site.
Flexibility
Epson’s resin inks are odourless and water-based and can be used on coated and uncoated substrates, in sensitive environments.
