Explanation

When using an Epson application and product on macOS Sequoia via a network connection, the application may fail to identify the product. This could result in being unable to add and use the product. This can occur if you do not grant permission to 'Allow' access to the local network when the relevant dialogue box pops up.

Follow one of the two solutions below to resolve this issue:

Solution 1

  1. On MacOS go to System Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network.
  2. Identify the affected App from the list and turn on the related toggle switch. For example find 'Epson Installer' and switch it to 'On'.

Solution 2

  1. Uninstall the affected App from your device.
  2. Reboot your device.
  3. Reinstall the App, ensuring that that you select 'Allow' when the pop-up dialogue box appears.
