How do I install Document Capture Pro for my scanner?

Document Capture Pro is suitable for everyone from the beginner to the advanced user. You can do more than just scan with it, as it offers many 'scan-to' functions, including scan-to-cloud, scan-to-FTP and scan-to-SharePoint alongside the ability to handle batch separation, barcode recognition and zonal OCR-A and OCR-B support.

Note:

If you are using Windows XP and .Net Framework 2.0 is not installed on your computer, you will need to download and install this from the Microsoft website or use Windows Update.

Document Capture Pro Server

The following products are compatible with Document Capture Pro Server:

To install Document Capture Pro follow the steps below:

  1. If any previous versions of Epson Scan have been installed on your computer, these must be uninstalled before proceeding to Step 2.
  2. Download and install the latest version of Epson Scan from the Epson support website.
  3. Click here, select the version(s) of Document Capture Pro you require and fill in the fields below then click Proceed to Download.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
  5. When the installation is complete, restart the computer.
  6. Once the computer has restarted, Windows will complete the installation. Ensure the compatible scanner is connected to the computer via the USB or Network cable.

To start a scan using Document Camera Pro, select Start > All Programs or Programs > Epson Software > Document Capture Pro. The Document Capture Pro window opens.
