Silent Printing for Epson Printers

1. Enter about:config in the address bar.
2. Click Accept the Risk and Continue.

   

3. Set following settings:
   • print.always_print_silent -> true
   • print.show_print_progress -> false

     

4. To test the silent print on a web page in Kiosk mode (run the application full screen without any browser user interface such as toolbars and menus).
   • Create shortcut to launch in kiosk mode:
   • "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" --kiosk

   • Click on Print this page to print silently without any pop-up.

     

Silent printing on these browsers works partially where a quick flash of print control dialog box on printing.

1. Create a shortcut with –kiosk and –kiosk-printing:
   • Edit the shortcut and add both.
     i.e. "C:\Program Files\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe"

   • The following print preview will flash before printing.
